Let me explain how the Whirlpool washer water level
works so you could understand what it does.
When you set the washer on the beginning of a cycle and
pull the timer knob to turn the washer on, electricity
flows from the timer to the water level switch
From the water level switch when the washer is empty of
water, the electricity flows to the water temperature
switch From the water level switch when
the washer is full of water, the electricity flows to
the motor speed selector switch if the washer has one or
to the motor centrifugal switch.
From the
water temperature switch when the washer is empty,
electricity flows to the temperature switch and from
there to the water mixing valve solenoids to complete
the filling cycle.
From the water level switch when the washer is full of
water, the electricity flows to the motor speed selector
switch if the washer has one or to the motor centrifugal
switch completing the agitation cycle
As
you can see the Whirlpool direct drive washer water
level switch is use to switch from filling to agitating
according to the water level selected. |
