| Most washers use a dual action agitator. Dual action
means that the agitator does two things.
The dual action agitator has two parts. The top part
is called the clothes mover and the bottom part is the
agitator.
The clothes mover use a set of 4 agitator dogs
to make it move in only one direction.
When the agitator dogs wear out, the clothes mover stops
moving and the clothes will stay on the top of the tub
and will not get clean
To remove the agitator dogs you
will need to remove the clothes mover cap or fabric
softener dispenser.
Then you
will need to remove the agitator
holding screw or bolt because is a
big screw with a 7/16 head. After
removing the screw, you hold the
bottom part of the agitator and pull
the clothes mover until it snaps
off.
Take the
clothes mover and remove the
agitator dogs holder and replace the
worn out agitator dogs with new
ones.
Install the
clothes mover and screw in the
holding screw. Install the agitator
cap or fabric softener dispenser and
you are done replacing the agitator
dogs. |
