The whirlpool washer cord is the life line to the
washer, If the cord fails or is missing, the washer will
not do anything.
The major cause for
power cord to failure, is a loose connection between the
cord plug and the wall outlet.
Some times the wall outlet contacts get
to loose to hold the cord plug tightly causing a loose
connection. A loose connection will cause
the contacts to overheat and become discolored and
burned. If your washer has a cord that looks burnt or charred,
check for a loose connection on the wall outlet.
You could also check the cord for continuity using your
ohms meter. To correct this problem you
will have to replace the Whirlpool washer power cord and
also will have to have the wall outlet replace by a
license electrician.
You have to be a
license electrician to be able to work on any of the
wiring in the house. |
