The first thing that you need to know before trying to
repair your Whirlpool direct drive washer is how to take
it apart and put it back together again
You will start by disconnecting the washer from the wall
outlet, then you will need to open the controls panel
There are four different ways to open the controls
panel. The one with the screws on the front, the one
with the screws under the end caps, the one with the
screws on the back and the one with hidden holding clips
After the controls panel is opened, then you need to
remove the cabinet. To remove the cabinet you need to
remove the two cabinet holding clips.
Once you
remove the holding clips, just grab the cabinet and
remove it from your working area. Now you will have
access to all the components inside of the washer
It is very important that you know how to remove the
cabinet and know how to put it back properly or the
cabinet will shake and make noises.
