Irregular heating means that the dryer is heating too
hot or not hot enough
There are a few
parts that you will need to check when you have the
problem of irregular drying. If the dryer
is taking too long to dry a load of clothes, making it
necessary to have to run the dryer two times to be able
to dry the clothes, you will need to check the following
Check the exhaust hose to make sure that the hose is
not clogged with lint restricting the airflow.
If the hose is clogged with lint, clean it or replace it
with a new hose. If you find that the
exhaust hose is clean, then the next part you will need
to check is the operating thermostat. You will need to
measure the temperature at the exhaust pipe behind the
dryer to see what is the highest temperature
It is possible that the operating thermostat be opening
and closing, but not maintaining the proper temperature.
If you suspect that the operating thermostat is not
operating properly, just replace it with a new one
It will be cheaper and less time consuming to replace
the operating thermostat, than to try to find out if it
is working properly.
