The timer is the brain of the dryer, it is the part
that direct electricity to the many different parts in
the dryer.
The timer has a small motor that turns
the dial from the selected time to the off position
The timer has contact points and with time the contacts
will burn out and don't make contact like they supposed
to To check the timer contacts you will
need to use a ohms meter to check for continuity between
the contacts that supposed to be close.
