The Whirlpool 29 inch electric or gas dryers, use a set of two drum support rollers that the rear part of the tumbler rides on

These rollers are about 3" in diameter. They have a metal sleeve bearing with a plastic wheel drum and a rubber outer wheel

These drum roller are lubricated in the factory when the dryer is put together until the rollers need to be replaced
 

Usually one of the roller goes bad, very seldom the two rollers go bad.

An indication of a bad roller is a gap between the tumbler and the back wall inside of the dryer. Another indication is that the dryer will start making a little noise and the noise gets worse the more you use the dryer

The rollers come in a set of two part 349241T or you could get the dryer maintenance kit part 4392065

Always replace the two rollers and make sure to lubricate the roller bearing or sleeve with hi-temperature grease
